Indoor roller speed skating is similar to the short track ice speedskating seen in the Olympics. In fact, many of the US Olympic ice skaters got their start on wheels! Races and practices are on indoor floors (typically at roller rinks) and run on a 100m oval track or four cone layout. Skaters are broken into age divisions and each division has their own race distances.
There are two disciplines, quad and inline. Quad speed skating is done with roller skates and inline uses specialized carbon fiber inline skates with low cut boots and large wheels. Inline speeds can top 25 mph!

We've had skaters from 5 years old to 50+, but there are no age limits. All are welcome to train with Phantom.

You don't even have to know how to skate! Some of our fastest skaters started their journey barely able to stand on skates. Our experienced coaches will walk you through learning the basics on either inline or quad disciplines or both.

Phantom races in the Midwest Point Series which is one of the top racing leagues in the nation. Skaters from MWPS routinely podium at national level competitions. MWPS meets are held locally and regionally.

Speed Skating is a fantastic way to get in shape and meet new people. Roller skating can burn over 600 Cal/hr; even at a moderate pace. You'll gain strength, stamina, and balance and gain a lifelong skill!
